  Old People on Facebook...Phil DeFranco is Sexy AND sxe!

  So after commenting this on a blog this morning, my Dad told me had a facebook, and to go look for him. No. Freaking. Way. Am. I. Doing. That.
  
  (The comment I made under another name on my friend's Xanga.)
  
  OLD PEOPLE (as in late forties, early fifties) GET OFF OF FACEBOOK! QUIT CHECKING UP ON US!!!!! QUIT THROWING YOUR OLD FASHIONED NONSENSE THAT WE'RE "TOO YOUNG" FOR THINGS EVERYWHERE! ....of course we could always respond with "Well, last time I checked, you're too old for Facebook. That didn't stop you from joining, did it?" If it makes any of you feel better, eventually some of them will be thought of as child molesters. Since their only "friends" on facebook are way younger than them.
  
  That's why I don't add any adults...except my mom's teaching partner but she's like 26 at most and isn't annoying like that.However, there are okay reason's for old people to be on facebook.
  
  1) They're taking college courses and they may need homework or something.
  
  2) They had their facebook before they were 47...or before the had kids.
  
  3) They're trying to reconnect with old friends...but in this case, they only add those old friends, not their children and their children's friends.
  
  4) They're an awesome teacher whose students see them as their friend... Someone they trust. Not a nosy adult who will bust every kid to their parents about a picture of the kid holding a beer bottle.
  
  If it's for any reason outside of these, then they have no business joining. Quit spying on us already. Goodness.
  
  One more thing...If the younger people add the older people, I think it's understood that they really don't have any intention of actually COMMUNICATING with you. It's just to be nice. So to all older facebookers out there...don't be commenting on your son or daughter's friends pictures saying they look Fantastic or whatever, because that's all the proof they need in court that you're a child molester.
  
  Just remember one thing old people: Getting a facebook to be friends with your kids' friends doesn't make you cool. It makes you lame. Really, really lame. So if you're trying to be cool, DON'T make a facebook.
  Sorry, I just feel really strongly about this kind of stuff...it's like get your own thing! You don't see us invading your stuff, why invade ours?
  
  Another, non-related thing...
  
  If you do not know who or what the heck I'm talking about in the title of this blog, I'll give you some links at the end to check him out.
  
  But it's true. Philip DeFranco is sexy and sxe....whether he wants to believe it or not.
  
  Here is my reasoning:
  
  1) He was voted "2008's Sexiest Geek Alive"
  
  2) There is this web-series, "Hooking Up", where he plays this guy Nick. They called him to play this part. He was whining on the phone to the casting people about how he wasn't fit for the part and told his fans to "check it out if you want to see how awkward I look." Well here's the thing. If he's so "bad" looking, why would they call him to play the part of a guy that a main character and a supporting character both get excited over him IMing them (To quote:Main Character - "OMG red-hoodie just IMed me! He's so hot. *few minutes pass* Supporting character - "Guess who just Imed me? Red-Hoodie! *practically squeals*.) So Phil, if you're so bad looking, why did they call you to play that part? (And don't say some crap about a first, second, third, billionth choice not being able to do it.)
  
  3) Plus guys who are smart enough to talk about news intelligently, entertainingly, and be incredibly, stupidly funny at the same time are sexy.
  
  Who cares if you're "Fat" and "look weird"? Obviously not your girlfriend. (who is adorable by the way. I'd be her friend if I knew her....and if she wanted to be my friend....but whatever.)
  
  And so my case is presented, and backed up. Phil DeFranco is sexy AND sxe.
